A friend of mine said she didn’t like that song “Be Yourself” by Audioslave because it sounded like an AADAC commercial. I didn’t really think so but whatever.
The lyric that really drives me nuts is from that song ‘Reach for the sky’ from Social Distortion. I like the song overall, but the part where they quote that old tired cliché, “Yesterday is history and tomorrow is a mystery”… Hate it. It’s not a bad quote, however, recycled in a rock song it’s laden with stinky cheese. I’m all for positive lyrics in rock’n roll but that’s just tired and annoying.
