Tornado Watch!!!

Ok so I'm a bit of a wimp. Severe thunderstorms make me nervous in the first place... Then I find myself smack dab in a high rise hotel in the middle of Tornado Alley, throw in a huge thunderstorm that makes me jump outta my skin and then have the TV say that there's a "Tornado Watch."

Probably no big deal to someone who lives here? Eeek!

Update: There's now a "Tornado Warning" but it's east of here, so all should be good. Yippee!

St. Louis! I already loved your blog but now I really love it! I'm originally from STL and it was great to see your pics of the city. You did an amazing job with the photo collage/mural. Glad you weathered the weather ok - tornado warnings are scary as hell!

Enjoy the rest of your trip and if you get a chance have some ice cream/custard at Ted Drew's.

No way! That's cool thanks...

I liked the city a lot. The downtown has some character, and it was really clean too. They're doing a lot of work down there to revitalize the downtown. A lot of the old buildings are being turned into lofts and condos to get people back into the core again.

Yeah the tornado warning was a bit scary, especially since it was really windy and the lightning and thunder was just wouldn't let up. Apparently there was hail and funnel clouds outside the city!

Ted Drews was too far way unfortunately! We had to settle for the Gelateria, which wasn't bad... not bad at all.
