Ripped off at the bottle depot

I got totally ripped off at the bottle depot on Saturday. Did I not sequester bottles and cans for months, storing them in my laundry room, defending them from my roommate (who wanted to just recycle them in the bin… for free), load them all up into my car, went out of my way to find a depot, stack them high on a shopping cart and wait in line for at least half an hour… for what??? For fricken’ FOURTEEN DOLLARS???????? Holy schnikes I almost crapped my pants when he rang that in at the till. There was even mostly bottles in there, not many cans at all! What a ripoff. I somehow had visions of at least 30 in my head… I remember even getting $50 one time! Ok, so that was a huge haul. But is it my imagination or has EVERYTHING else in the world gone up, but bottle depot refunds stayed the same over the last 10 years??? Krike.

Also, did you notice that the “biggest” people at the bottle depot always have bags and bags of diet pop cans? Ironic.
